about us

The Suzuki Unagi (eel) restaurant originally started in Kanda around 1935. After it burned down during WWII, the restaurant was moved to Kamata and reopen in 1945. Kabayaki, the most popular cooking style for eel is amazingly soft and delicate broiled over charcoal with a special sweet sauce made by our restaurant since its establishment. Unagi-Tataki has been newly listed on the menu. Enjoy the natural flavor of eel broiled without sauce, served dipped in ponzu (Japanese sauce made primarily of soy sauce and citrus juice) and garnished with tender green onions! Unagi is broiled Japanese freshwater eel and regarded as one of the traditional Japanese cuisines remaining the popularity in Japan. Unagi is also well-known as a nutritious food containing Vitamin A and protein and effective for restorative. Please enjoy these delicate eel dishes broiled with the special sweet sauce made by our restaurant since its establishment.

Bus: Take Keikyu bus #95, 31, 30, 41, or 40 from the bus stop No. 11 at the airport to JR Kamata station. The ticket fare is 270 Japanese Yen.
